Welcome to my first product review, featuring Medelita Scrubs! I had heard such amazing things from my friends in healthcare about Medelita – I knew I had to try a pair! I reached out to Medelita and expressed my interest in collaborating with them. Medelita was super generous and sent me black scrubs with my name and University embroidered on the top. I loved this pair of scrubs so much that I went out and bought another pair for clinics!

Why I love MEDELITA:
First of all, the company was founded by a total rockstar, Lara Francisco. She is a licensed physician assistant who saw the need for high quality and flattering medical apparel. Thus, Medelita was created in 2008 to meet that need with a custom embroidery option to create a more personalized look. Because I have been working in the veterinary field for a few years now, I have tried quite a few scrub brands. I have to say that the material and fit of Medelita far outshines what I have experienced thus far. As soon as I put the scrubs on, I feel comfortable and professional. It is a new feeling as I am used to dressing down because I work with animals. As an almost Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, it is so important for me to have scrubs that look professional while remaining practical. The material allows movement (as seen below) and the tie on the pants ensure that I can tuck in the top while in surgery without issue. Additionally, all apparel is available for both women and men. That way, men also have the opportunity to look and feel great in their scrubs. Medelita scrubs are also very affordable for their quality versus competitor brands.

Areas of Improvement:
I am a relatively tall person at 5’9″ and constantly have a problem with scrub pants looking more like highwaters. Medelita’s Medium Scrub Pants are just at the cusp of being too short. Therefore, I would say if you are a woman >5’10” and a size Medium or smaller, you might have to go up in size or try a brand with a “Tall” option. Additionally, Medelita has a limited number of color options. If you are interested in a specific color, Medelita might not have that option for you.

Recap:
Overall, I absolutely love Medelita for the affordability, aesthetics, and quality of their products. If you have to wear a certain color of scrubs for work or clinics (at UGA I have to wear ceil blue or navy), I would highly recommend Medelita. Every time I wear these scrubs, I get compliments on how professional they look. When people feel the material, they fall in love with the brand. I gave the overall brand a rating of 4/5 based on the lack of color options. However, both sets of Medelita scrubs are the most comfortable scrubs I own. And that is saying something.
Medelita is very supportive of healthcare professionals on social media and consistently hosts giveaways with other influencers. Follow @medelita_gram on Instagram to keep up to date with new giveaways and opportunities to try Medelita for free. They also frequently have sales if you are tight on funds (student problems). However, these scrubs are 100% worth buying at full price!
