It’s still heat stroke season. These cases always carry a guarded prognosis. Even though she sat up and started drinking, it still took this baby 3 additional days and multiple plasma transfusions to recover ♥️ Stay safe and in the A/C.

At VEG, we answer many phone calls as doctors and we can help guide you as far as whether your pet is experiencing is an emergency. Unfortunately, there’s only so much we can diagnose over the phone. Remember, if you’re concerned it is never a bad idea to seek emergency veterinarian care ♥️

I love this picture ♥️ Joey and I are getting married in a little over two months and I just wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude to this man. Community and a solid support system is everything, especially when you’re an emergency vet. Our jobs aren’t easy and I certainly would have half the life I have now without Joey.

So shout out to all of those who support what we do both on the floor and at home. Your support and love keeps us sane and makes us better emergency doctors 👏♥️

Sometimes we do hard things 🐷

Like hospitalizing a sick pig who had nowhere else to go. I am so proud of my team for tackling this case. And our sedation protocol was so great, our pig friend just needed O2 provided with the nose cone ♥️

I love challenging cases like these. Huge shout out to the techs who are willing to step outside their comfort zone and do something truly awesome 🐖

At VEG, we find a way to say yes.

On this particular day, this family was awarded with one of our doctor’s VEG Cares funds so that this dog could have an endoscopy for an esophageal foreign body. The family was so grateful and the scope was a success! VEG Cares is our way of giving back to our communities ♥️ We fundraise every year at each VEG hospital so we can provide this opportunity if a case has a good prognosis but finances are limited.

I love my job.

Minus the fact that we bred them so anatomically they literally can’t breathe 😅. Please educate yourself before you get a dog. These dogs are prone to all sorts of diseases and emergencies and are $$$$.
